Wow this is kinda tough, cause if you look at it B is like a hypothesis which is an educated guess. With C, well... reading it C doesn't really make sense... With D, Science does teach us to experiment with different things to make finale solutions but it doesn't really teach us to investigate in anyway. So i would have to say, by process of elimination, B is the answer. :)
