Irrational numbers already "exist." You do not find them. Its just like saying, for example, that you can "find" the number 1 on a calculator. It already exists.
You determine an irrational number by whether it has a never ending line of decimals after it.

\(\dfrac{981}{1120}\) is a rational. When you plug that number into the calculator, it shows the result is 0.8758928571
\(\sqrt{3}\) is an irrational. When you plug it into the calculator, it shows the result is 1.732050808
Both the results are in the same format. So that if you use calculator, you cannot know which one is a rational or an irrational.
