You need to multiply them out first. Use FOIL.
I know. You get x^2 + 28 = x^2 + 4
But the x^2 aspect confuses me
Actually, you would get if I'm not mistaken\[x^2 +10x+25=x^2-4x+4\]

(x+5)(x+5) (x-2)(x-2) x^2+10x+25+3=x^2-4x+4 The x^2 cancels out 14x+28=4 x= -1.714
