A 6.0-ft person weighs 171 lb. Express this person's height in meters and weight in kilograms (1lb = 453.6 g; 1m = 3.28ft)

OpenStudy (rushwr):

What is your answer ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Still working on it. Trying to figure out how to set it up. I always struggle with that part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I got 1.83 m

OpenStudy (rushwr):

1m= 3.28ft So 1ft= 1/3.28 m right So now we have 6 ft multiply 1/3.28 * 6 to find it in meters.

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Correct !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now I need to get kg.

OpenStudy (rushwr):

what do u think for the weight parrt?

OpenStudy (rushwr):

yeah for that u have 2 methods. 1) find it in grams and convert it to kg 2) convert g in to kg and substitute that value and get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

77.6 kg?

OpenStudy (rushwr):

yep !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sweet. I'm getting better at these. Thanks for the help again. I only have two more homework problems before I'm done.

OpenStudy (rushwr):
