How do i know the function in solving the missing sides of a right triangle ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

missing side of triangle can be find out using pythagoras theorem as \[perpendicular ^{2}+ base ^{2 } = hypotenous ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (welshfella):

If you are given the measure of an angle and one side you use the trigonometrical functions sine, cosine or tangent.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

sine = opposite / hypotenuse cosine = adjacent/hypotenuse tangent = opposite/adjacent

OpenStudy (phi):

If you are asking about trigonometry, this might help https://www.khanacademy.org/math/trigonometry/basic-trigonometry/basic_trig_ratios/v/basic-trigonometry
