This can be solved from many different ways.
I personally would combine the the two fractions 2/5 and 1/10 of money he uses this would give you: 2/5 + 1/10 or 4/10 + 1/0 or 5/10 which is 1/2. So one 1/2 of his salary is goint to household expenses and carpayment. This leaves 1/2 to put in his saving account.
