(csc(6x)+cot(6x))/(csc(6x)-cot(6x))=____ (Cot^2)(3x) cot(3x) (cot^2)(6x) tan(6x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it to (1/sin(6x)+1/tan(6x))/(1/sin(6x)-1/tan(6x)

OpenStudy (freckles):

hmm... let's try multiplying the top and bottom of the the original expression by the conjugate of the bottom

OpenStudy (freckles):

I'm thinking about using the identity \[1+\cot^2(\theta)=\csc^2(\theta)\] maybe

OpenStudy (freckles):

though this might just be easier to plug in 20 deg into the first expression and see which one below when pluggin 20 degs gives the same result
