BD bisects

OpenStudy (danjs):

if BD bisects that angle, it will form 2 smaller equal angles

OpenStudy (danjs):

|dw:1441146115587:dw|

OpenStudy (danjs):

where does angle PST come from? is that labeled right in the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. i dont even know where it comes from, you think it's another new angle?

OpenStudy (danjs):

They probably mean ABD = 3x - 2 and CBD = 9x - 26 set them equal, and solve for the X value, 3x - 2 = 9x - 26 24 = 6x x = 4

OpenStudy (danjs):

nice answer, so that is probably what they are looking for... now you know X value, bith angles are the same and are 3(4) - 2 = 9(4) - 26 = 10 degrees

OpenStudy (danjs):

if the two smaller angles u and v are 10 each, angle ABC = u + v = 20 degrees

OpenStudy (danjs):

reply if you don't get it, since it was an hour ago or something

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's a bisects? Or its just a mistake and they put wrong letters because I'm kinda confused, anyways thanks u very much!:)

OpenStudy (danjs):

yes, i think it is just the wrong letters. PST should be CBD probably
