3(2+x)=12

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

divide both sides by 3, and you have what?

OpenStudy (ellamallow):

First you would multiply 2 and x by 3 and you would get (6+3x)=12

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

I think it is easier to divide both sides by 3, then you have x+2=4

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

but either way works :)

OpenStudy (ellamallow):

Well that is not how I was shown to do it.. But yeah I guess...

Wait what?!?!?!
