What is 6 to the -7th power? I'm confused on how to find the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rule: \[a^{-n}=\frac{ 1 }{ a^n }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so by extension, \[6^{-7}=\frac{ 1 }{ 6^7 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@peachpi how would i get that in a number form?

OpenStudy (millsemily):

3.572245...

OpenStudy (millsemily):

Is that one of your choices?

OpenStudy (millsemily):

Let me know if it's right! :)

The answer is a fraction. Use a calculator to find 6^7.
