Will Medal :) 1.What is the simplified form of -(x-4) ? a. -x-4 b. -x+4 c. x+4 d. x-4

OpenStudy (madhu.mukherjee.946):

B

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

- (x - 4) this is the same as -1(x - 4) and to get rid of the parenthesis we have to distribute the -1 through the parenthesis. That means multiply -1 by everything in the parenthesis. Turning the problem into : -1 * x + (-1 * -4) which equals -1x + 4 or just -x + 4

OpenStudy (madhu.mukherjee.946):

-(x-4) -x+4
