HELP!!!! REALLY NEED QUESTION ANSWERED!!!!! MEDAL AND FAN What is the sum of the geometric sequence 1, 3, 9, ... if there are 14 terms? 1,285,956 2,391,484 3,556,228 4,287,382

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So do you know the pattern at least?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know the pattern of the sequence? @thebluepilot

OpenStudy (thebluepilot):

Not really... I'm kind of frantic cause i'm lost on remembering how to to a geometric sequence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so clearly we are multiplying by 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 x 3 = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 x 3 = 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So just continue to do that until you get 14 terms. So do that and tell me what you get.

OpenStudy (thebluepilot):

So we just go on and on till we reach the 14th term?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. Correct. When you get 14 terms you simply add them all. :) @thebluepilot
