Can someone please explain how to do this to me. I am so confused and have been stuck on this forever. Choose one short story and one poem from the 19th century. Write to compare the ways in which each of these may be considered representative of American culture during the time period in which it was written. Cite specific evidence from the literature to support your ideas. These are the two stories. "How to Tell a Story" (1835-1910) by Mark Twain (short story) and The Story of an Hour" (1894) by Kate Chopin's (short story. Please help me!!

Choose specific things in each story that have to do with what was going on in that time, it said culture so basically ways of life, things that were popular, if there were any sicknesses that were common, if it included any of that. Get certain quotes which is the cite certain literature part, and write it all out! ^u^ If you are still confused then I would call ur teacher or sumtin Good luck ^u^
