Just want to make sure i am doing this problem correctly, or if i am way off.. Imagine that you place a cork measuring 1.3cm x 5.5cm x 3.0cm in a pan of water and on top of the cork you place a small cube of lead measuring 1.15cm on each edge. The density of the cork is 0.235 g/cm^3 and the density of the lead is 11.35 g/cm^3. Will the combination of cork plus lead float or sink?
