I wasn't sure what to put this question in. It's for Forensic Science. Is there a difference between AFIS and IAFIS?

*sigh* I don't think I'll get help with this XD
AFIS : automated fingerprint identification system matches fingerprints from known database IAFIS: integrated automated fingerprint identification system matches fingerprints with database AND provide related information, including mug-shots, criminal history, etc. (much like what we see on NCIS, lol). and it processes prints in about 27 minutes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automated_fingerprint_identification https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/fingerprints_biometrics/iafis/iafis
Is that seriously the only different thing? -.- Sorry XD I'm doing a project and it asked for AFIS and everything that came up was IAFIS so I didn't know if it was the same thing or not. and we were told not to use wikipedia at all :(
Then look up wiki's references!
haha, true true c:
Also, use Google scholar: for example: https://scholar.google.ca/scholar?hl=en&q=AFIS&btnG=&as_sdt=1%2C5&as_sdtp= will give you more literature than you need! Many of the references will have to be obtained from the library because they are paper copies.
ohmygoodness. I didn't even know that was a thing XD thank you so much
xD!
