OpenStudy (welshfella):

work out what is in the brackets first that is 7 - 2 = ?

OpenStudy (jojo12g):

7-2 = 5

OpenStudy (welshfella):

ok so that leaves us with 4 + 3 * 5 now you need to remember the order of operations PEDMAS in particular multiplication becomes before addition.

OpenStudy (jojo12g):

is it 19

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yes 4 + 3*5 = 4 + 15 = 19 multiply before add

OpenStudy (jojo12g):
