OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

which one do you think it is? :) Remember that you can change 10/7 to a MIXED fraction

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I think it's D, but I'm not sure.

OpenStudy (liv1234):

If it was a mixed fraction it would be 1 1/7.

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I mean 1 3/7.

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

yep! :) So that means we need to look for 1 3/7 on the number line :) 1 3/7 is LARGER than 1 right? So which graph do you think is correct?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

So we can get rid of C and A.

OpenStudy (liv1234):

It would be B. Because that's the closest to 1 3/7, right?

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

coorrrecctt! :D

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Can you help me with two more please? (:

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

suree

OpenStudy (liv1234):

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

Any ideas for the first question? Hint: -1/3 = -0.33333.... -2/5 = -0.4

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I feel like it would be -1/3 because 0.33333 keeps going, but -0.4 doesn't.

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

what would be?.... o.o? Remember, you're meant to fill the box with either a "<" , "= " or ">" sign. So is -0.33 > -0.4 ? Or is -0.33 = -0.4 ? Is this true -0.33 < -0.4 ?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

I think it would be false.

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

hmm. What number is larger... -0.33 or -0.4 ?

OpenStudy (liv1234):

-0.4

OpenStudy (liv1234):

Ohh, would it be -0.33 > -0.4?

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

yes it would because -0.33 is CLOSER to 0 (use a number line if it is easier for you to understand) Therefore -0.33 is LARGER than -0.4

OpenStudy (liv1234):

That makes sense. What about the other question?
