"We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence." These lines from the Declaration of Independence are an example of the use of _______________. (5 points) logos pathos theme purpose

I'm not positive on this one. I know it's not logos, so that's out of the question. Theme is more like the general idea of the entire document, which is stated near the beginning. Then we're left with purpose and pathos. Pathos is an appeal to sadness, so to speak. And we know what a purpose is. If I had to make an educated guess here, I'd go with pathos, as the document is talking about how we've denies usurpations(taking something by force). And that interrupts connections and correspondence.
