Damon & Eddie each had an equal amount of money. Each day Damon spent $18 and Eddie spent $24. When Eddie used up all his money, Damon still had $120 left. How much money did each of them have at first?

The difference between what they spent each day is 6. To find in how many days the money was spent in, you do 120/6. This is b/c each day the difference is 6, and the total difference in the days is 120. The money was spent over 20 days since 120/6=20. Now, you can just multiply 20 days by how much they spent each day to fine the answer :)
