Here is the definition of the Squeeze Theorem.... I understand that g(x) is sort of being squeezed in a sense, but I do not understand how to utilize it in various problems....

The limit at 1 on both sides is 2, since g(x) is in the middle of those two things for all x, it must be that, by the squeeze theorem, its limit is 2

It works like this |dw:1441355589638:dw| The thing in the middle must squeeze between the 2, and if the 2 are the same at that point, it must also be the same. :)
