OpenStudy (anonymous):

opposite of -4 is 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or +4

OpenStudy (rushwr):

ur 1st and 2nd answers are correct. !

OpenStudy (rushwr):

for the 3rd one Usually the more the number is negative the value of it decreases ! So -6>-8

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Apply the same theory for the 4th question. -5>-8

OpenStudy (phi):

Q3: -6 ? |-8| first, the absolute value sign | | means "make whatever is inside positive" for example | 8| means 8 (no change) but |-8| also means 8 (made -8 a +8)

OpenStudy (rushwr):

For the last question also use the same way. higher the negativity the value is reducing. So the least would be the ones with higher negative value then decreasing negative value and then positive values would be the greatest.

OpenStudy (phi):

so Q3 is -6 ? 8 -6 is smaller than 8 so put the sign with the "small end" next to the smaller number and the "big end" next to the 8 -6 < 8

OpenStudy (supercait10):

kk

OpenStudy (supercait10):

oh and I picked the third on for question 5

OpenStudy (phi):

yes Q5 is choice C -8, 5, 6 |-7|, 8 those numbers are in small to large order

OpenStudy (supercait10):
