Help with research essay. "Recent films show a Hollywood fascination with ancient Greek culture: 300, Thor, and Troy are prime examples"

Movies or motion pictures are stories or events recorded by a camera as a set of moving images and are shown in a theater or on television. In the 1890s films were known as moving pictures, and they “..emphasized just movement. There was no sound, usually no plot and no story.” (The history of motion picture) Although today movies are more elaborate with special effects, fantastic actors and an astonishing story line.

Thats a pretty good introduction. But what is the thesis? It is not very apparent. I would also edit the last sentence and some punctuation to something like this:

"Movies or motion pictures are stories or events recorded by a camera as a set of moving images and are shown in a theater or on television. In the 1890s, films were known as 'moving pictures', and they “..emphasized just movement. There was no sound, usually no plot and no story.” (The history of motion picture). Modern movies are more elaborate with special effects, fantastic actors, and an astonishing story line."

Also, to go back to the main question of the research paper, "Why do people like past-culture films? -- I also believe people are intrigued because the culture is so vastly different than the one we live in today in these Greek/Roman history films. The sexism, violence, etc, really draws people in.

Make sure to use MLA format when you are sourcing.
