Can you describe multiplying and dividing signed numbers in the real world?

@Abhisar

Nnesha (nnesha):

another word we use for multiplication is product

Nnesha (nnesha):

quotient = divide product = multiply the product of two `negative ` numbers would be positive the product of two positive numbers would be positive when you divide two`negative` numbers you will get positive number so in short the product and division of two numbers with same signs would be `positive` and with different signs it will give you `negative ` answer here are some example -2 times -2 = `4` ( both numbers are negative ) 2 times 2 = `4` (both numbers are positive ) -2 times 2 =-4 ( different sign so answer would be negative ) division -2/-2 =1 ( same signs = positive answer ) -4/2 = -2 ( different signs = negative answer )

Nnesha (nnesha):

does it make sense ?

yes @Nnesha

so this is the answer? quotient = divide product = multiply the product of two negative numbers would be positive. the product of two positive numbers would be positive. when you divide two`negative` numbers you will get positive number. the product and division of two numbers with same signs would be positive and with different signs it will give you a negative answer For example : -2 times -2 = 4 ( both numbers are negative ) 2 times 2 = 4 (both numbers are positive ) So since both numbers are negative the answer becomes a positive.
