Let’s say, for example, that we want to find the density of a wooden cube. First, we must find its mass. To do that we place the wooden cube on the digital scale to find its mass. The mass of this cup is 17.6 grams. Next, we want to find the volume of the wooden cube. We can do this by using a method called displacement. We fill up our graduated cylinder with 50 milliliters of water, then drop the wooden cube into the cylinder. We see that the water line has risen to 127 milliliters. Now you can determine the volume AND find the density! Please show your work below.
