Draw an arc through the given angle, centered at the vertex and of sufficient radius to offer the desired accuracy. Extend that arc beyond the given angle in the direction you will be adding the adjacent angle. Set your compass or dividers to the distance between the points where your arc crosses the sides of the given angle. Mark that same distance on the arc from the point on the common side to a point in the direction you want to construct the adjacent angle.
