OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I'll teach you here c:

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@Shalante

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea, I was gonna say.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

hahaha xp

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay, so to start an LaTeX, you must begin your code with `\(` and end it with `\)` (however you may use brackets instead of parantheses instead)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Try saying \(hi\) by typing `\(hi\)`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(hi\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(great~job!\) to put spaces between your words, you have to use `~`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, this is how some people can write in bold italicized with spaces Because if I go on equation and type words, it does get spaced Ex:\[hello I am finetoday.\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it does not get spaced*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was wondering before.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

mhm c: the equation button uses LaTeX, if you know what you're doing, you can do a lot more with that equation button, or, like me, not use it at all c: I know the basic codes to make fractions and whatnot c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, I do not use much features in equation either.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, how do I do the colorful, decorative ones?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

well, what would you like to learn first? colors, sizes, or fonts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fonts!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\Huge\scr\color{purple}{I~love~your~enthusiasm}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

there are quite a few fonts, like \(\bf bf\\ \tt tt\\ \scr scr\\ \cal cal\\ \sf sf\\ \mathbb mathbb\\ \boldsymbol {boldsymbol}\) I think I got them all... I may be missing one or two.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

to include those, you just need to put `\` in front of the name (mathbb and boldsymbol work differently, I'll show you those later). for example, \(\tt hi~there\) comes from `\(\tt hi~there\)`.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

/HI

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

AHA. \(\frak frak\) is one I missed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\Hi

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

uh oh, what are you doing? you still need to follow the basic rule of LaTeX and start with `\(` and end with `\)`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea I am just testing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So many symbols, I am forgetting where they're at lol.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

haha okay :) you aren't using the equation button, are you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not see the space in my keyboard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Are you having trouble looking for `~`?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\(\Heeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllooooooooo\)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes actually.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I accidentally skipped one of your post. I was supposed to put tt or something else right?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

look above the left tab key on your keyboard. it is shared with `. you need to reach it using the Shift key.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

and yes, any of the fonts (not mathbb or boldsymbol, they work slightly different)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Sorry, I have to go. I sent details in a PM. We can continue tomorrow. Have a nice day/evening c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You too See you tomorrow if we can meet up.
