OpenStudy (sugarmochi):

What is the Y intercept of the line that passes through the points A(5,-2) and B (-3,0)

OpenStudy (en):

first find the slope between points A and B using \[m=\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\] by that you'll be getting the slope. The key to problems with just points given is to first create an equation.

OpenStudy (en):

.after finding the slope use the point slope form..\[m=\frac{ y-y _{1} }{ x-x _{1} }\]. substitute your slope in the formula in m then cross multiply. by then you already have the equation just substitue x=0. then you'll get the y-intercept :)
