The first image that you have shown is a composite figure, meaning that it is made up of many different shapes. 

I have divided the shape into simpler figures so that you can easily find the area of each divided shapes and then add it all together to get the final area. 

The perimeter should be fairly easy as well because you just have to add all of the measurements of the sides together.
