The function f(x) = −x2 + 44x − 384 models the daily profit, in dollars, a shop makes for selling donut combos, where x is the number of combos sold and f(x) is the amount of profit. Determine the vertex.
formula to find vertex is x=-b/2a
for the equation ax^2 + bx + c (-b/2a, f(-b/2a)) is the vertex
ok so -44/2(-1)?
x-coordinate of vertex* then substitute x for its value into f(x) function to find y-coordinate

ye
right!
-44/-2 = 22
now plug 22 into that equation again :)
f(22) = −(22^2) + 44(22) − 384 f(22) = -484 + 968 - 384 f(22) = 484 - 384 f(22) = 100
