Biology 9 Online
OpenStudy (greatlife44):

Does anyone have any good suggestions for some biology sites/textbooks? I find biology to be frustrating because the textbooks I use have either too few problems that actually test ones understanding or are just too dense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good question. I would like to find a good biology book as well.

OpenStudy (greatlife44):

You see I feel that most books that I have come across don't have good questions that actually gauge your understanding. Maybe a manual or something that gives you problems and shows you how to approach them would be good.

OpenStudy (greatlife44):

Sorry for the rant that's about to come but why I hate most textbooks: they contain often useless facts, pictures, and other nonsense, examples and illustrations that either don't help or are too straightforward. The information is often presented in a way that's not clear. So what I'm looking for is something a manual or such that stresses problem solving, and gives the solutions.

I really don't know. My school sends me all of my books. :-/

Hmm Shaums 3,000 biology problems seems like a good reference for problems at least. For those of you interested.
