a child's growth and development depends upon how much support and encouragement he gets nd opportunities like various competitions participating in which the child gains experience, knowledge and a spirit to win and to do well :) so opportunities play a vital role in a child's growth and development :) hehe hope it helps :D

disadvantages-

1- lack of opportunities isolate the child from the competitive world and thus new experiences, fight-man spirit to become better, etc and not see in him
