y = –6x+2 –12x – 2y = –4 How many solutions does this linear system have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When determining how many solutions a system of linear equations can have, there are three cases: Zero solutions, when graphed the lines never intersect. One solution, when graphed the lines intersect once. Infinite solutions, when graphed the lines lay on top of each other. You system fits one of those definitions, if you would like, I can check your answer your answer after you attempt the question.
