Calculate the area of the larger rectangle, then calculate the area of the smaller rectangle (the house). Then subtract the house area, from the large rectangle, and that will give you how much area is left inside the large rectangle.

OpenStudy (keana):

how do i do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the formula: \(area = wh\) Where \(w\) is the width, and \(h\) is the height.

OpenStudy (keana):

225 & 2160?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct, now do \(2160 - 225\). Your answer should be the area left.
