Homework check?
I got 120 m using sig. figs.
@Shalante
Sure, can you show your work?
yep :)
You have to find the final velocity first so you use the formula \(v=v_0+at\). \(v=15m/s+3.5m/s^2(5.0s)\\ v=15m/s+17.5m/s \\ v=32.5m/s\) Then you use the formula \(v^2=v_0~^2+2a(x-x_0)\) (\(32.5m/s)^2=(15m/s)^2+2(3.5m/s^2)(x)\\ 1056.25m^2/s^2=225m^2/s^2+7sec(x)\\ 831.25m^2/s^2=7sec(x)\\ x=118.75m\) so I rounded to 120m.
OH MY GOODNESS. I WROTE A WRONG NUMBER.. one second.
A car has a velocity of 15 m/s. It then accelerates at a uniform rate of 3.5 m/s^2 for the next 5.0 seconds. What distance does the car cover during this time?
that is the right problem.. I looked at the one above it that had 190 lol XD thanks @Shalante for pointing that out
@iambatman come back :O
okay.. so that took too long to type out.. I'm just going to take pictures of the problems and my work and upload them xD
Your process seems fine :)
I did not check the numbers however, I trust you're correct :P
oh okay. thanks lol
