Which is equivilent form of the following question? 2x-3y=3 a.y=-2/3x-1 b.y=3/2x-1 c.y=2/3x-1 (my answer choice) d.y=3x-1 Can someone please help me i am extremely confused.

Nnesha (nnesha):

hey! :=) why do you think its C ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought it was C because i divided 2x by 3y and i think that gives me 2/3x and idk about the -1 all of the answer choices have it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really suck at math

Nnesha (nnesha):

you shouldn't divide 2x

Nnesha (nnesha):

1st) subtract 2x both sides then just divide by -3 not -3y bec our goal is to solve for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so that gives me y=-1-2x?

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1441747511321:dw| cancel out the 2x from left side and right side you can't combine -2x with 3
