Suggest review material for conic sections please. Can someone suggest some good material to review conic sections? I'm looking for something at a precalc level I guess. It should start from scratch like geometric definitions and equations and finding special points and lines, eccentricity and polar equations. (Does the hyperbola even have a polar equation?) If it includes things like general rotations and some linear algebra that's a plus too. I know Khan academy has some stuff on conic sections but it seems to be a little slow paced. Either videos or lecture notes would be fine.
If find buying books are an option, buy books that do not aim to review, but work books that attempt to quiz you on the level of pre-calculus. Get the ones that include solutions to the questions (solutions, that also have an explanation (not solutions only), I find McGraw-Hill to have these kind of books), I find it great for an autodidact like myself, because figuring out how to solve a question yourself, really drills it into your memory, or at least that is how it is for me. When you do encounter something you do not understand, and reading the book explanation fails for you this site, and a search engine usually are able to explain it to you well.
