First you have to know what PEMDAS mean: Pertinence, Exponents, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract. So in this case we will do Pertinence because that's what we see first for our Pemdas. So we will say first: 2(5-3) so do Five Minus three... Which is 2 so we still have 2(2) we don't have add subtract or divide or exponents. But we do have pertinence. We also have multiply.
