@MMAguy @kropot72

OpenStudy (hwyl):

here's the concept: your money - any loan loans are debt to be paid off and in mathematical terms it is something you subtract out of funds and using distributive properties we can generally assume the following \(-(l) \rightarrow -\color{red}{1} (l) = -l\) so that means any values that are regarded as loans will be a negative value

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

So my answer would be B ?

OpenStudy (hwyl):

for example, you need to pay for a tuition for school for a particular semester and it will cost you $5,000.00 if you did not have any money, you will borrow from banks or lender and that amount is something you pay off in the future. So in the future when you already have your own money, you will have to pay your debt (loan) and it will be something that you will subtract out of your own money.

OpenStudy (hwyl):

what do these | | mean in math?

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

IDK

OpenStudy (hwyl):

haha okay that is our symbol for absolute value. when something is enclosed in | | it means that it is always positive. Here are examples: \(|-x| = x \) \(|-5| = 5 \) \(|5 | = 5 \) so knowing that loans are negative, we cannot use any value that is enclosed in | | because that would be it will no longer be a negative value, just as I have shown you in the examples

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

I think my answer would be either B or C.

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

@hwyl

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

So my answer would be B or C @hwyl ?
