OpenStudy (a1234):

I'm doing a virtual lab where I'm trying to separate tin, aluminum, and steel. When I'm doing this, does the order matter in which I place the three under a magnet and then in a basic solution? The lab says it is, but I don't get why.

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

Are they solid or in solution?

OpenStudy (a1234):

They're solid, but all mixed together.
