An AC technician is trying to find the house he needs to make a repair. He travels 9 km east, then turns around and travels 4 km west, and then turns around again and travels 14 km to his destination. a. What distance did he travel? b. What is the displacement? PLEASE HELP ME

The distance is the total amount of walking he did. The displacement is the distance between the starting point and the end point. There is an important difference. If i walk 3 miles west and then 3 miles east, i am back to my starting point and my displacement is zero, but my distance is 6 miles.
