would i split it into two equations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

na its ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do u have idea how to split tan(3x) ? i suggest to do tan(2x+x) =?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

So you are looing at what factors make it 0, correct?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

tan(3x)(tan(x)-1)=0 Means: tan(3x)=0 or tan(x)-1=0 So you find all solutons when that is true.
