Quick Question-- "Use the remainder theorem to determine if the divisor is an intercept."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An example of the problem is: f(x)=x^3-7x^2+5x-6, f(x)=3. The problem is asking you to use "3" as the divisor, and work with synthetic division.

My only problem is-- how do I tell if the divisor is an intercept? Is it an intercept if the remainder is equal to the divisor, or if the remainder is zero?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the remainder is 0
