OpenStudy (anonymous):

Patrick spent 3/5 of his money on a watch. He's spent 1/4 of the remainder on a calculator. Cost $28 more than the calculator. How much money did he have at first?

what do you thank it is

the answer is : 280

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let the total money =x then , for watch he spent , x * 3/5 = 3x/5 and , for the calculator he spent , (1/4)*(3x/5)=x/2 now he has $28 after all these , then, x - [(3x/5)+(x/2)] = 28 or, x = 280 Hope it helps :) then plz give medal:)
