OpenStudy (anonymous):
What? The answer to that is 2500.
OpenStudy (anonymous):

just do the math so 9X10^6 would be 9000000
OpenStudy (anonymous):
How did you get that from 63,600,000?
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
and 6.36X10^7 63,600,000
OpenStudy (anonymous):
How did you get that? I am confused on that part. How do I express something as a scientific notation?
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
count how many decimal spaces there are to find out the power to, and your base number must be less than 10 but more than 1

How do I find the base though?
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
here what is your question
OpenStudy (anonymous):
You answered it already, but here is a screenshot.
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
To write a number in scientific notation: Put the decimal after the first digit and drop the zeroes. To find the exponent count the number of places from the decimal to the end of the number.
OpenStudy (pinklion23):
you understand now?
