Over the course of time Evolution helps tell many things. However, they main thing that it tells about an individual, is how it is able to adapt to its environment and surroundings!

too add to what @guitarnerd2015 said over time if certain traits are beneficial to the survival of a species those individuals in that species will survive, reproduce and carry on those traits, while those who don't have/lack the favorable traits will die off.
