Suppose the sales of a particular brand of appliance are modeled by the linear function S(x)=60x+2800, where S(x) represents the number of sales in year x, with x=0 corresponding to 2002. Use this model to predict the number of sales in 2017

s(x) = 60x+2800 If i remember it right you will move the 2800 on the other side of the = 60x = 2800 x = 140/3 x= 46.67 I believe this is the solution you are looking for.
