OpenStudy (logan13):

Which is a run-on sentence? A. Keys are made for each lock, yet many keys look the same. B. Apples are generally red, but there are some golden varieties. C. Sailboats use wind power, but many sailboats also have a motor. D. Flamingos are usually pink one variety is bright red.

OpenStudy (bishoppatton):

D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D again. "Lock, yet", "red, but", "power, but" The correct form would be "Flamingos are usually pink, and one variety is bright red." This provides transition, but this sentence does not have one - it simply runs on. ;)

OpenStudy (bishoppatton):

All the others use commas and D. should have a comma after pink
