4.The superposition of mechanical waves can be observed in the movement of A. Bumper cars B. Water waves in a ripple tank C. Electromagnetic radiation D. A football thrown through the air

7.A musical tone sounded on a piano has a frequency of 261.6 Hz and a wavelength of 1.31 m. What is the speed of the sound wave? A. 646 m/s B. 34.3 m/s C. 243 m/s D. 343 m/s 8.Bats chirp at high frequencies that humans cannot hear. They use the echoes to detect small objects, such as insects, as small as one wavelength. If a bat emits a chirp at a frequency of 60.0 kHz and the speed of sound waves in air is 340 m/s, what is the size in millimeters of the smallest insect that the bat can detect?

I need help. These are the only questions I can't figure out.

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

for 6, have a go first for 7 & 8 use \[v = f \ \lambda\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would 4 be B? And with seven and eight, I just need to know how to figure it out. This is literally my first class in physics since elementary school -my school is crappy- so I barely have the basics of physics.

OpenStudy (rushwr):

For the 4th it's B ! Ripple tank !

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Regarding 7th and 8th ... Actually there's a standard equation \[V = f \lambda\] V= Velocity f= Frequency and the other symbol stands for the wave length
