A. Was discovered by Nicolas Copernicus, who developed the Copernican System contrary to what was believed in the Dark Ages 1500s, the Ptolemy System, anything contrary to the Ptolemy System was branded as heresy and punishable by death from burning on a stake which pioneers like Giordano Bruno who forwarded the Copernican System was murdered by the Inquisition at that time in 1504. As a result of that, Galileo Galilei almost suffered a similar fate by loosing his finger, because he confirmed the Copernican System via experiments w/ the telescope Galileo built.
