I have a question about finding x intercepts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would i break this down or simplify? 2x^2 - 8x +6 would it be 2(x^2 -4x +3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know how to explain, but im just trying to figure out like 2(x^2) = 2x^2 2(4x) = 8x 2(3) = 6?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

would it be \(2(x^2 -4x +3)\)? yes it would

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YAY THANKS!

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

but you then have to factor to find intercepts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i know how to do it from there lol
